OUR HISTORY
Casa Vallejo is an institution in the Philippine’s summer capital city of Baguio. Established in 1909, it is considered as the oldest hotel in Baguio. It is also awarded by the Baguio Centennial Commission as one of the 10 oldest institutions in the city.
ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
Built of wood, galvanized iron, and sawali, that features early American colonial architecture. Built in 1909, it was built as Dormitory No. 4 for laborers who worked on Baguio’s development when the Americans were building the city in the early 20th century.
Casa Vallejo underwent several restorations with improved tourist accommodations following this. It has retained its basic architectural configuration and the original green and white color scheme typical of early American period architecture in Baguio.
Centrally located along Session Road, guests can experience the best that the city has to offer. Burnham Park and SM Baguio are just a stone’s throw away, while the restaurants and bars are only a few minutes’ walk.
