The building itself exudes the welcoming familiarity of a childhood home. It is culturally diverse and has managed to preserve a historical aesthetic while also offering modern conveniences like air conditioning and large common areas. Papaya room – FAMILY ROOM, offers these rooms are located on a separate property from Paradores del Castillo, but it is owned and run by the same principals. It has 4 single bed and 1 full/double size bed. It has suite bathroom with an open living/dining/bedroom plan with access to a private garden. Papaya can accommodate six persons maximum of seven with a complimentary breakfast of six.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
It was acquired by the owners of Paradores del Castillo Hotel, who wanted to conserve the structure in situ, rather than loose another antique house in Taal, they purchased the entire structure and reconstructed it like a puzzle on its present location. It is situated a few meters from the historic St. Martin de Tours Basilica, walking distance to the Taal Public Market, restaurants in the historic district, the Taal Central Public School and various municipal offices.

ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
This heritage house was saved from demolition and has been repurposed. The former owners wanted to sell off antique floorboards, posts, windows, and walls on a piecemeal basis, while opting to retain the land where the home stood in.
