This charming suite is located in the listed iconic building on Gomi Street in Medieval part of Tbilisi, 10 minutes walk from Freedom Square and Rustaveli Avenue and 2 minutes walk from Sioni Cathedral and Sharden Street. Famous Sololaki Gorge walking pass starts at the Upper Betlemi Church terrace just next to our Heritage Loft.
The space
The flat has been just renovated and restored. It is located on the ground floor of the most famous Old Tbilisi house, which you can find in all guides and publications about Historic Tbilisi Architecture. It consists of two rooms: a studio with kitchen, one bedroom and bathroom. It has private entrance and private terrace. The flat is furnished mainly with antique furniture and enriched with ethnic and reused objects. This is an authentic space with strong identity. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary crockery, pots and pans and includes microwave and electric kettle. There are always tea, coffee and sugar provided.

Architectural description
Due to the lack of land, the building completely occupies the area near the corner of the streets. The plan of the house in the street-side part is trapezoidal, with a broken outline near the corner; On the third floor, there is a three-sided balcony that hangs over the streets, it makes a break at the corner like the building, and it is rounded towards the yard. The system of hanging balconies and musharabs, together with the large staircase, and wide passage provides an interesting solution to the vertical planning of the building – the lack of space is compensated for and almost doubled. The building has additional storage facilities in the form of a basement and a furnished attic. Deep niches in the wall of the courtyard have the same function. Due to the sharp drop of the relief, the 1st residential floor from Askani Street and the yard is under the ground from Gomi Street, and the 1st floor from this side is the high 2nd floor from Askani Street. The solution of the attic floor is worth mentioning separately. You can get here from the balcony of the third floor by a ladder built into the thickness of the wall. The attic is lit from all four sides by a window. There is also a brick fireplace. The roof is mounted on strong coils and everything indicates that this farm shed was in active use. Under the large part of the building is a two-part basement, in which rock fragments are cut from the south. There are deep niches for storage in the northern wall. One room of the basement was lit from the west by a small window. Openings are arranged in a certain system, their shape changes depending on the floors. It is also worth noting the widened arches of the openings. The door openings of the basement and the 1st floor are bow-arched, in which rectangular frames are inserted. On the second floor, both the openings and the frames are rectangular and divided. Door openings and frames of the 3rd floor are arched. The house is built with square bricks and, except for the back wall, it is plastered. The square brick layer on the floor in the cellars remains fragmented. Architrave construction is used on the balconies, strong wooden brackets are used as supports. The door and window openings of the third floor are most richly decorated. The stairwell of the house has an interesting solution; It is connected to it by a wide passage on the second floor, and there is a large viewing platform at the junction of the two marches. The wooden architrave above the balcony columns has a two-step shelf profile. The house has an entrance from the side of Gomi Street to a small trapezoidal courtyard, which is bordered by a high and rather thick walled brick fence equipped with niches from the side of the street. The thick walls and plastic shape of this fence are noteworthy.
The house has a large wooden balcony supported by a cantilever, with three facades. The house is separated from Gomi Street by a brick retaining wall. On top of it, there is a wooden staircase and a passage – a continuation of the balcony. Separate classicist elements are used to decorate the facades. It is worth noting the fireplace in the interior.
