About Vigan

Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage City and unbeknownst to many, Vigan is an island which used to be detached from the mainland by three rivers – the great Abra River, the Mestizo River and the Govantes River. It is unique among the Philippine towns because it is the country’s most extensive and only surviving historic city that dates back to the 16th-century Spanish colonial period. Popular sites include Calle Crisologo, which is located in the Mestizo district- the old quarters of the city, The Syquia Mansion Museum, Plaza Salcedo's Dancing Fountain, Padre Burgos House, and the National Museum of the Philippines. Nearby is the Bantay Church Bell Tower. Of special note is Hotel Luna, which houses an extensive collection of art, including La Mandolinera by Jose Luna. And near another designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, centuries-old Sta. Maria Church.

Property Owned By

A Heritage Legacy

Originally a family abode that dates back to the early 19th century and the 2nd oldest structure in the city, the original structure was later re-built and restored to its original splendour in mid-2000 and tastefully converted to an elegant yet simple home hotel. Initially, the hotel was only opened to family and friend referrals to ensure that service is not compromised and that unparalleled attention and detail are provided to all our guests. It formally opened its doors to the public in 2009 to non-family and friends extending the same personalised and exceptional service, warmth and hospitality, treating every guest like family.
